“nearly perfect”

Brewer’s Row’s Al Pastor Burrito is truly exceptional. A fresh tortilla wrapped around a blend of well-seasoned rice and beans with tasty pico and cheese mixed in. Paired beautifully with their house-made tortilla chips and unique habanero-carrot salsa.

But the true star of the show is their signature Al Pastor. A wonderful cut of pork, well seasoned and with the classic pineapple inclusion, takes center stage in the burrito. However, it’s solo is ultimately cut short by a foodie’s worst nightmare when a dish has such a strong player: small portions.

You wouldn’t take your star quarterback out of the game in the second half? With my final bite I was left longing for more. Maybe I just got a slightly out-of-character burrito, or maybe my lunch-rush order happened to slide in during a lull in Al pastor supply. Regardless, a truly memorable burrito fell just short of a perfect score because of it.
